All personal data (profile, meal logs) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Meal photos are transmitted to OpenAI for analysis and are not retained by us. Anonymous session data may be stored in Firebase Firestore in an anonymized form. We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (TLS encryption).

5. Data Retention

Local data remains on your device until you delete the app. Anonymous Firebase data is retained as long as your anonymous account exists. You can request deletion of any Firebase-stored data by contacting us.

CalorieApp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
